Biography

Mehmet Yıldız is a Graduate Researcher in the Ertan Yıldırım Lab within the Department of Horticulture at Atatürk University. His research focuses on vegetable crop physiology, organic biostimulant formulations, seedling root architecture, and mitigating salinity stress in horticultural crops.

Research Interests

Vegetable growing, breeding, and cultivar characterization
Abiotic stress physiology: cellular mechanisms of salinity and drought resilience
Organic biostimulants, humic/fulvic substances, and microbial soil amendments
Seedling propagation, transplant vigour, and root development
Protected greenhouse cultivation and climate-adaptive horticulture
