Biography

Dr. Esma Yiğider is a plant biotechnologist in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology at the Faculty of Agriculture, Atatürk University, Erzurum. Her research focuses on abiotic stress tolerance, molecular breeding and genome editing, applying functional genomics and bioinformatics to understand and enhance crop resilience.

Her work includes genome-wide identification and characterization of stress-responsive gene families in crops, contributing to high-impact studies in agricultural biotechnology.
