Diluent effects on combustion characteristics of hydrogen/methane fuel mixtures under colorless distributed combustion regime

W Al-Rikabi, E Yildirim, O Kekul, S Karyeyen Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects 48 …, 2026

In this study, the effects of the diluents (N2, CO2, He, and Ar) on a hydrogen/methane flame under colorless distributed combustion conditions were investigated, with a focus on temperature and pollutant emission profiles. The temperature change percentage in the combustor was 51.41% under CO2 dilution, showing that CO2 was the most effective diluent for achieving...

Biyostimulant uygulamalarının fasulyede fosforun yarayışlılığı ve verim üzerinde etkisi

S Aslan, M Ekinci, E Yıldırım Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Tarım Bilimleri Dergisi 31 (1), 14-27, 2026

Bu çalışmada farklı formda fosfor içeren gübrelerle birlikte uygulanan biyostimulantların fasulyede bitki gelişimi ve verimi üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada 6 farklı kombinasyondan oluşan uygulamalar [B1: Diamoyum fosfat (DAP), B2: DAP+humik asit (HA)+bakteri, enzim hormon (BEH), B3: kaya fosfat (KF), B4: KF+HA+BEH, B5: DAP+HA+BEH+salisilik asit (SA)+fulvik asit (FA) ve B6: KF+HA+BEH+SA+FA] bitki kök bölgesine topraktan uygulanmıştır....

Multilevel Analysis of Glutathione-Induced Responses in Pepper Seedlings Under Water-Deficit Conditions

M Ekinci, E Yigider, M Turan, S Ors, M Aydin, E Yildirim Plants 15 (18), 2831, 2026

Drought stress is a major abiotic factor that negatively affects plant growth, physiological processes, and yield in pepper cultivation. This study evaluated the ameliorative effects of exogenous glutathione (GSH) at 50 µM and 100 µM in pepper seedlings grown under water-restricted conditions (60% field capacity), using morphological, physiological, and biochemical parameters. Water restriction significantly reduced...

Humic Substances Enhance Waterlogging Tolerance in Eggplant Through Differential Regulation of Redox Homeostasis and Nutrient Acquisition

S Ors, M Ekinci, M Turan, S Hakeem, E Yigider, M Aydin, M Akca, ... Horticulturae 12 (8), 974, 2026

Highlights What are the main findings? • Humic acid and fulvic acid alleviated waterlogging-induced growth inhibition and improved nutrient acquisition in eggplant. • Humic acid enhanced waterlogging tolerance by reducing oxidative damage and restoring redox homeostasis, whereas fulvic acid promoted growth through reactive oxygen species signaling. • Humic substances improved chlorophyll content, nutrient uptake and...

Methionine Enhances Growth and Stress Tolerance in Tomato Seedlings under Salinity Stress

M Aydin, SO Cirik, M Ekinci, S Ucar, E Yaprak, E Yigider, E Yildirim, ... Journal of Plant Growth Regulation, 1-24, 2026

Salinity is important abiotic stress that limits plant growth and agricultural production. Different approaches can be used to enhance plant growth and alleviate environmental stress. Exogenous application of amino acids could enhance physiological responses to salt stress. We investigated the effects of methionine application on tomato seedling leaves under salt stress at the morphological, physiological,...

Mitigation of Bensulfuron-methyl Induced Multiple Stress Responses in Cucumis sativus L. by Biostimulants: A Comprehensive Metabolic and Molecular Docking Approach

MY Er, G Karadayi, Y Gulsahin, M Karadayi, M Turan, E Yildirim, G Agar, ... Journal of Hazardous Materials, 142962, 2026

Sulfonylurea herbicides, such as bensulfuron-methyl (BM), are widely used around the world, but they pose a severe risk of phytotoxicity to crop plants that are not the herbicide's target, disrupting their physiological and metabolic homeostasis. Although biostimulants (BS) are increasingly recognised for alleviating abiotic stress, the mechanisms by which they mitigate herbicide toxicity across multiple...

Comprehensive analysis of riverine flood impact on bridge and transportation network: Iowa case study

E Duran, Y Alabbad, J Mount, E Yildirim, I Demir International Journal of River Basin Management 24 (4), 643-656, 2026

Floods have a catastrophic impact on human life in terms of economic loss, infrastructure damage and loss of life. Understanding vulnerable transportation segments is critical to addressing potential disruptions that may be caused by a flood event. This study employs a systematic framework to analyze flood impacts by evaluating bridge inundation, waterway crossings and traffic...
